Lumley Designs

Lumley Designs is owned and run by Robin Lumley and upholds a proud reputation for the design and manufacture of many bespoke goods ranging from pattern making to architectural design in cast metal.

Based in Wolverhampton and working in the field of unique design for the last 25 years, he continues to develop and design for the retail and architectural sectors with a growing client base. Looking forward to an exciting future he will always endeavour to supply a professional and personal service and maintain the need to supply specific design ideas through customer input.
This is only possible because he is able be involved at every stage. He can design the product, make the prototype, then make the patterns and supply them to his local foundries, with which he has a very close working relationship and who will cast to his exacting standards.

Robin is also involved in restoration projects, which involve a number of disciplines from carving wood to making replacement parts in cast iron.

Robin's own product range includes: Letter boxes, house signs, sundials, projecting sign brackets, door knockers and house number plaques. These are just a few examples of the work he produces in cast iron.

He currently has a large range of cast iron letter boxes which are his own unique designs. These are an example of the fine products that can be produced, and what is possible due to the way he works in combination with local British foundries. Other cast metals are available on request and he will continue adding new designs to his ranges.

His recent clients include, Wolverhampton city council, Walsall council, Plymouth naval dockyards, Wolverhampton University, Western Park house and gardens and English Heritage.

He works with traditional methods that have stood the test of time and I believe these still produce best results.
